TRANSFER SERVICE
An integral part of our service is available every hour, day and night when someone passes away. Being able to respond sensitively and professionally requires a team of dedicated staff, vehicles, and specialist equipment to ensure the transfer of your loved one is carried out with dignity and complying with all the Health and Safety legislation.
Whenever a death occurs in the community (different procedures are required for Hospitals), your first call should be to the Searson family. We can give you all the essential guidance you need, make sure the death has been pronounced, and that we're permitted to attend. Should there be any uncertainties, we will make the necessary calls for you. Once we have taken some information from you, we will contact our Transfer Team. During the day, we aim to attend within two hours, outside working hours, our response time is often within the hour. However, we will keep you informed of who will be attending and the approximate time of their arrival, and should there be a delay due to waiting for a doctor's attendance, we will keep you informed of that. When we attend, we aim to arrive discreetly, with no 'Private Ambulance', no flashing lights, just normal looking vehicles to not draw any unnecessary attention.
